This is not my work, but my daughter – Meera’s. She is 3 years and nine months old. I am amazed at the fearless way she uses colour. And this was done by her in about a half hour session in school. So I know no one coached her. She was one of many kids dipping into the same set of colour pots that about 20 other kids must have been using. She is ‘my kinda colour girl’ and I love her!!

Hi, and Happy Diwali everyone.
Rekha and Sharon from ‘The Key Bunch’ asked if I would do a guest post as part of their one year anniversay celebrations, I said yes immediately. Now, having said yes, I found myself clueless as to the topic for the post!! So, since I am an artist and I have never done a step by step demo so far, thats what I decided to do.
Here is the finished painting. Its in Pen and Ink and a little bit of Acrylics thrown in. To see the stages, you need to go to
www.thekeybunch.com

Just the two of us
Let me know if you want me to do more such demonstrations.
The Sattva Art House is a really wonderful and calm place. It’s housed in a 100 year old bunglow in Whitefield, Bangalore. It is filled with children learning to paint and express their inner creativity. This show is hopefully the start of a long and artistically satisfying journey for me. I am looking forward to conducting workshops at their center over the next few months. Will keep you all posted as and when that happens.
Till then, I leave you with a few images from Sattva this morning.

If you in Whitefield, Bangalore…then come on over.

These were commissioned (well almost) by Rightlines Gallery after they sold the two that they had in their collection.
I did these after a long gap and it felt great to get back to watercolor/ink again!

Just wanted to say thanks to the people/person at
http://thedevi.wordpress.com/2008/12/ for starting their blog with my work. Thank you!!
I have been getting many enquiries as to whether I would sell my work. Yes- I would and I do. Currently it is sold from my studio at home in Bangalore or from Right-lines Art gallary . I am in talks to start selling online. As and when that happens, I will keep you all posted. For right now, it is back to the drawing board.
