The last piece on Theyyam inspired me to keep painting. So here is the next in the series.
This painting on the Kerala dance form called Kathakali is approx. 3 x 4 feet. It is done in acrylics on gallery stretched canvas.
Also, I thought I should show you some work instead of just press clippings 🙂 You can see the step-by-step progress pictures here.
Amazing use and blend of colours………….the eyes look so real……..
Dear Ms. Singh
Greetings!
Firstly I wanted to let you know how much impressed I am with your paintings – in particularly the energy, vibrancy and sense of joy that comes across from your works. I in fact follow your blog quite regularly. It is indeed a great pleasure for me.
Secondly I wanted to know if you would kindly consider giving me permission to use the image of this Kathakali painting, needless to say with acknowledgement, as a part of the header for my blog. My blog will be completely non-commercial and will focus, apart from other issues on travel, living, art and culture.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Yours truly
Shumon
