No camping. No tomatoes!

For the last few months I have had this image as my desktop wallpaper. And trust me when I say it gives me clarity and resolve every time I look at it. I am a nice person. I am not trying to be. I genuinely am. And no I am not trying to put on a persona or blow my own trumpet either. Sadly people often misunderstand that.

It is as it is.

This ‘niceness’ is often confused with my being a people pleaser or someone who is a push over. And that is NOT TRUE. I guess I am more empathetic then is good for me. I tend to give a person more chances than they deserve because I try and put myself in their shoes and give them a wide wide rope.

However this quality of mine was being taken as my being a ‘doormat’ to some. And I thought it was time to change things up a bit. I am also on the other side of 40 now and I just don’t have the time or patience to wait for someone to see that I come from a genuine place of niceness!

A friend sent me this video the other day and it really resonated with me. The video talks of energy boundaries and the ‘No camping, No tomatoes’. It will make sense when you watch it! I have been guilty of both – going camping and eating that tomato dinner metaphorically speaking and I have had to deal with the huge HUGE fallout as a result.

Btw- I actually like both camping and tomatoes:-)
It also helps that I am in a happy place painting and creating things that give me joy.

This video describes energy boundaries and why they are so important in maintaining your energy flows & connections. Without boundaries, you have no way to monitor your frequency and vibration, or let others know what they are. And when you lower or alter your energy boundaries to accommodate people who can’t align with them, you invite drama, trauma, and chaos in your life and make choices that are not aligned with what you want in your life.” – Jennifer Hoffman

The quote mentioned above gives you the gist but do take the time to go through the video. A bit long and verbose though.
