I got an interesting call in Jan when I was reeling with a full-blown attack of Covid. It was a doctor calling and immediately my heckles went up thinking this was one more of those promotional calls. Then on further conversation, I learnt that the doctor in question had seen my work in his friend's house and wanted me to paint a portrait of his wife for her birthday. I did 🙂

On a recent trip to Chandigarh, he came over to my house to personally pick up the artwork and we got talking. He is a doctor just not one of medicine. He holds a PhD in Law and teaches law as well. And the portraits that led to him reaching out to me were of a client's parents. I never shared those on my social media profiles as per the client's wishes.

Something to learn and interesting to note is that my snap judgement of that first phone call was so wrong!
